Persol is presenting a tribute to Reflex photography with a unique edition, unveiled in Milan during fashion week at a suggestive location – the underground heart of Piazza Duomo. In particular, this is the first time that the Persol Reflex Edition collection is made up of an optical model (PO 3044V) and two different models of sunglasses (PO 3046S and PO 3047S) with Polar and Photo-Polar lenses. A perfect combination of materials and shapes, the Persol Reflex Edition blends the two core concepts of Reflex and the brand: tradition and technology. The image of Reflex shows in the glasses case – styled like a vintage camera case from the pre-digital era – and in the dedicated packaging, designed to look like a stylized lens.
The communication campaign consists of six images by the Swedish photographer Julia Hetta, a mix of retrò looks with the contemporary taste of this Italian-made collection, also present at MIDO, the Eyewear Exhibition (Milan, 2-4 March 2013).
Starting on 15th February, also, all photography enthusiasts in Italy and the USA can upload a black and white photograph that represents the brand values on the Persol.com site and participate in the Persol Reflex Edition Photo Contest. Prizes will be a Leica M-E Type 220 camera and a trip for two to Venice, where the winner from each country will see their picture displayed at the International Film Festival.
The Persol Reflex Edition will be available from February 2013 in the most exclusive stores all over the world, with prices starting at 210 €.
