Accessibility

Accessibility is a keyword in website design. Web pages are assembled with a view to making content accessible to and usable by as many users as possible – ideally everyone. Including the technologically challenged (people with old hardware and operating systems, inadequate graphics resolution, slow connections) and people with impaired vision and motorial problems.

Luxottica designed its new site in order to favour the access of disabled persons. For this reason, apart from the introduction of a tool to magnify text on the page and the use of alternative text for the images, some Accesskeys (rapid access keys) were defined in order to rapidly reach a specific link through the pressing of a sequence of keys.
