Prescription lenses
Global research and innovative results achieved through the use of x-ray technology enable Luxottica to develop continuous innovation in the machinery used to produce prescription lenses, allowing for the development of tailor-made individual products. In particular:
- Luxottica prescription lenses are unique, as the prescriptions are integrated with the exclusive characteristics of the frames, with micro-measurements that are personal to each wearer.
- Clear and Sun RX lenses are available in specific designs to best adapt to use when doing sports, for wearing in the office, whilst driving and for all other everyday activities.

Sunglass lenses
Potential is only limited by technological frontiers. This is why Luxottica manages to meet the growing demand for performance, working on avant-garde technology only. Hardwearing, ultra-light materials, polarising agents and nano molecules are combined to create lenses to higher and higher standards.It is this continuous innovation that enables Luxottica to produce the highest quality lenses on the market.
Frames
The design of our frames represents the perfect meeting point of art and technology, objects of desire that stand out for their style and performance. Slim carbon fibre manipulated with margins of around a micron for subsequent integration into flexible titanium backbone. This is what we call the "frame", namely the function, guaranteed by the quality of the materials, which blends with the needs of a lifestyle.
